Laois Cricket builds up for 2011 Season

Cricket has resumed in the County for another season. Laois kicked off the season with a friendly match away to Rush in Dublin on Sunday, and were unlucky to loose the match despite an excellent bowling performance from Louis Auret, taking 6 wickets in total, including an impressive hatrick (three in a row).

All new players are welcome as always. With three adult and two youths teams, there are lots of opportunities for players of all standards to play. Training for adults (16+) is on Wednesday nights from 6.30 to 8pm at the Rugby Club Grounds at Togher. Training for Junior cricketers (aged approx 10-16) is on Thursday nights from 6-8pm also at Togher. All are welcome to come along and get involved. New players will be catered for, so if you would like to just give it a try, please come along.
